Masks and Food for Gateway Gardens Residents

Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr. brought masks and hand sanitizer to a food giveaway Wednesday in Huntington Station.

Residents of the Gateway Gardens apartments were able to refill bottles of sanitizer. The masks were made by inmates at the Suffolk County jail in Yaphank.

Dan Diviney of Project Hope provided the eggs and milk, Pamela Praetorius from the St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Shrine Church, donated money that was used to purchase boxes of cereal, bread and pasta sauce.

Kevin Thorbourne, Ken Johnson, Yvette Hallman, Rhonda Gooden and Martine Macdonald organized it with Siela Bynoe, director of the Huntington Housing Authority.
