Two Hospitals Take Delivery of N-95 Masks

U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi  and several not-for-profit Chinese American organizationsdelivered N-95 masks to Glen Cove Hospital and Huntington Hospital on Tuesday.

Each hospital got 2,5000 masks, which will be used at the hospitals and distributed to first responders and senior centers in Glen Cove and Huntington.

“In addition to flattening the curve and stopping the spread, we need to ensure that our health care workers and first responders have ample access to personal protective equipment (PPE) and that includes N95 masks”, Suozzi said. “I want to thank all of the fantastic organizations that worked together to make this much-needed and much-appreciated donation to these community hospitals. I will continue to fight in Congress and urge the president to utilize the Defense Production Act to ensure that our local Long Island communities have all the protective gear we need to stay healthy.”

The masks were donated by the Harborview Foundation, United Chinese Americans of New Jersey, the International Leadership Foundation of New York, the HX Chinese School at Plainsboro, the Central New Jersey Chinese American Association, Windsor Athletic Club, and the New York Young Entrepreneurs Roundtable.
