Meet and Greet; Schramm’s Plan

Stephanie Bontempi, Republican candidate for the Suffolk County 18th Legislative  seat, is hosting a casual meet and greet Thursday 5:30 -7:20 pm, at Off Broadway Sports Bar, Off Broadway Sports Bar, 3 Boulevard Ave, Greenlawn.

The Schramm Plan

Democratic Town Board candidate Joe Schramm is offering the “Schramm Plan” to strengthen the Huntington economy.

Citing the loss of taxes from the reduction of taxes from LIPA, Schramm’s plan involves developing new opportunities for generating revenues that includes identifying ways to make Huntington attractive to tax-paying corporations looking to re-locate their corporate offices.

That involves, Schramm said, reusing  existing corporate office spaces and commercial properties with a commitment to environmental sustainability, relieve traffic congestion with smart re-design of traffic patterns, parking plans, and re-consider the HART public transit routes and schedule, and reimagine live-work options that will create new housing opportunities for employees within walking or bicycle distance to workplaces, bus routes or the LIRR.
