Starting April 4, those hoping to hit it big will have to buy their Mega Millions tickets a little earlier in the evening.
Sales for same-day Mega Millions drawings will end at 10 p.m. instead of 10:45 p.m., as they do now.
Tickets bought after 10 p.m. will be made part of the next Mega Millions drawing instead of that day’s. For example, tickets purchased on a Tuesday after the deadline would be part of Friday’s drawing.
Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m.
