Memorial Day Events in Huntington

  Following are the Memorial Day parades and events in Huntington to  commemorate those who have  died in military service of the United States.

The holiday is different from Veterans Day, which honors both the living and the dead who have served in the military.

Sunday, May 26, 2019

TIME:             9:00 a.m.

PLACE:           Huntington Veterans Plaza, 100 Main Street, Huntington

(front lawn of Town Hall facing 25A)

The public is invited to honor our veterans at Huntington Town Hall, Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 9:00 AM on Huntington Veterans Plaza, 100 Main Street, Huntington, in commemoration of Memorial Day. Wreaths will be placed at the World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, and Women’s Veteran Monument and to honor our troops in the Middle East; Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. The Church of Saint Patrick’s Adult Chorale & Children’s Choir will perform patriotic songs. Ceremony: 11:00 AM – Noon

Lunch: Noon – 1:20 PM

DJ Bob: Noon – 3:00 PM

On May 24th, the Town of Huntington Senior Center will commemorate Memorial Day with a Color Guard, St. Anthony’s Celtic Friars Pipe Band, cake, DJ Bob and many of senior veterans will wear their military hats or uniform shirts. , Retired Marine Lance Cpl. Ken Lavoie will be guest speaker.
