The 6th Annual Miles for Michael Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run is set for May 11 at Walt Whitman High School.
The run will continue its practice of providing space to add the name of those who have been lost to cancer to the race shirts.
Named in honor of Michael Gallagher, who graduated from Whitman in 2012 but died of cancer in 2014, the race benefits the arts/dance and music program in the South Huntington school district.
