Heavy snow of 4 to 8 inches is forecast for Long Island. The snowfall is expected to start in the morning and continue into the evening. Sleet and freezing rain are likely to accompany the snow.
The NWS said drivers should plan on slippery road conditions, affecting both the morning and evening commutes.
