Mo’s Bagel Cafe Opens In Greenlawn

A new eatery has found its way to Greenlawn.

Known in Northport for three years, Mo’s Bagel Cafe opened its new location last week.

“I want you to feel like you are home,” said Mauricio Martinez (Mo), who owns and operates both locations — which offer diners quick and affordable options besides merely bagels.

Mo took over the spot, which formerly housed Green Cactus Mexican Grill, nestled on the strip between long standing Ruvo and Oldfields Restaurant.

Unlike the original location which only serves takeout, the new bagel cafe seats up to 30 people with small bistro style tables throughout and a back room with a high top and lounge area with a couch. The hip and cozy style begs for long conversations over coffee and Instagram worthy selfies alongside Marilyn Monroe artwork adorning the walls.

The cafe’s well-received grand opening on April 3, 2019, led Mo to extend his hours the following day. “The first day we closed around 5pm and a few minutes later people were knocking at the door to see if we were still open,” said Mo.

Mo’s offers a variety of menu options from the staple bacon and eggs to specialty sandwiches like the Brooklyn — BBQ grilled chicken, melted cheddar, avocado, caramelized onions, romaine lettuce, and chipotle ranch dressing. For those interested in the lighter side, acai bowls are prepared as well as a chopped salad bar with over 20 add-ons and toppings. Also, organic coffee is available and Mo plans on offering gluten free bagel options in the near future.

The cafe’s hours are from 6 am- 7 pm (which are subject to change) and open seven days a week.
