A teacher was arrested and charged with producing sexually explicit video and photos of her 15-year-old daughter and sending the images to male teenagers, Newsday reported Tuesday.
The woman, who is a special education teacher at Western BOCES, was arrested in February and charged with the use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child, and child endangerment.
According to Newsday, the East Northport woman was indicted on 54 counts of sex charges and arraigned in court on March 14. The abuse had been going on for three years, Newsday said, and involved the girl being forced to pose in sexually suggestive ways. Photos then ended up circulating amongst students in her school. The girl reported the abuse to a school principal in February.
