A 74-year-old Dix Hills man was found murdered in his home, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.
Armindo Reis lived alone in the residence at 22 Penn Drive. When neighbors could not get in contact with him Tuesday, they called his son. When Reis’s son arrived at the residence about 6:15 p.m., he found his father unconscious and called 911. When Second Precinct officers arrived at the scene, they found Reis had been shot.
Reis, 74, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
