Museum Offers ‘Whalers Wanted’ Session

The Whaling Museum invites families to its Whalers Wanted program, as part of its Black History Month celebration.

The Feb. 19 program includes a harpoon made by blacksmith Lewis Temple, a former slave, and a presentation about life o a whaling ship for people of color. 

Kids can carve a scrimshaw box as a keepsake.

Tickets are $12, half price for members.
