Celebrating National Night Out With Music, Food and Fun

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”2″ display=”basic_slideshow”]Residents, Suffolk County police, political and school leaders, firefighters and vendors turned out Tuesday night in Huntington Station to celebrate National Night Out.

Sponsored by the Town of Huntington and the Suffolk County Police Department, the fun-filled evening was part of a national effort to bring law enforcement and community members together.

Many kids lined up for a bounce house, while others took their chances on winning a free bicycle. Others played soccer, headed over to learn CPR, or a Huntington Manor Fire Department truck where they could practice aiming hoses at the grass. A barber in a mobile van provided haircuts.

With a police department deejay leading the way, others danced to music, had their photos taken, or moved from table to table to meet with FBI and sheriff’s department representatives or staff from nonprofit organizations.
