The Northport Historical Society has named Caitlyn Shea as its new executive director.
Shea previously worked for the Walt Whitman Birthplace Museum, where she was events and media director for three years.
She succeeded Andrea Miller.
Shea is an artist who specializes in large-scale paintings and murals.
The Northport museum is continuing its Stamp Your Passport series, focusing next on Croatia. On April 3, guest speaker, Anton Angelich will lead a presentation on Croatia and immigrants, with Croatian music, treats and drinks. That is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Register at Northporthistorical.org to attend the Stamp Your Passport event.
