New LIRR Schedules to Go Into Effect

New timetables will take effect on all Long Island Rail Road branches starting Monday.

Rush hour train service will be restored to levels similar to the schedules in effect prior to March 8.

Off-peak fares will remain in effect on all trains, including during peak hours.

On the Port Washington Branch, midday train service is temporarily reduced from half-hourly to hourly as the MTA installs longer-lasting concrete ties between Mets-Willets Point and Bayside and for some related adjustments to peak departure times/stopping patterns.

The MTA also said that new toll rates including mid-tier rate will be in effect at all MTA Bridges and Tunnels crossings  at midnight April 11.
