New Melville Restaurant Puts Cheese Front and Center

At this new restaurant in Melville, you’ll definitely get cheese  with that.

Two young Long Islanders have opened Cheezly’s, a restaurant built around cheese as the main ingredient.

Jim Christiano and Cody Kilroy opened the drive-through Cheezly’s last month at 606 Broadhollow Road, Melville.

“We wanted something that was different,” Christiano said, “Not your standard burger joint. We wanted something that’s going to make people happy.”

The two Mount Sinai natives launched their business catering to cheese lovers in the spring of 2019 but soon moved from a food trailer and into a traditional brick and mortar restaurant in Centereach later that year. Once the Covid-19 epidemic hit, they realized they needed to offer drive-through service and came to Melville.
The fast-food restaurant also offers dine-in meals.

Among the offerings on their menu are mac and cheese, grilled sandwiches, nachos and specialty items. “Everyone leaves with a smile” is their motto.

The company is also selling store franchises.
