New Trees for Columbia Street Park

Girl Scouts helped plant trees Friday at an Arbor Day celebration at Columbia Street Park.

Covanta donated an American Elm tree and Girl Scouts from Service Unit 12, Troop 239 planted saplings.

Town officials praised the girls and their efforts. Speaking at the event were Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci and Town Council members Joan Cergol and Ed Smyth.  Al White, a park steward, and Andre Sorrentino, director of general services for the town, also attended.
