Northport Man Injured in Two-Car Crash

A Northport man was seriously injured in a crash in Kings Park, Suffolk police said Thursday.

The crash occurred Wednesday night.

Police gave this account:

William Seitz was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban east on St. Johnland Road near Squire Lane when his vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and crashed head on into a 2016 Chrysler driven by Carissa Clancy at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Seitz, 54, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Clancy, 26, of Kings Park, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.

The headline on this story originally said that one of the vehicles was a motorcycle.
