While on patrol undersigned detected an odor of marijuana.

The listed defendant was arrested for driving while ability impaired. The defendant was transported to Northport Police Department and held for arraignment. The defendant was arraigned by Judge Senzer. See case for further details.

The defendant at the incident location was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

VALLEY AVE
Responded to the above location for a report of water flowing down the hill to the street. Undersigned officer, was unable to determine where the water was coming from. It is possible that it was coming from 40A Maple Circle. A copy of this report was forwarded to the Village Manager for follow-up. No further police action required.
DOLPHIN LN
Responded to the above location for a report of eggs thrown at the house. Complainant stated that two times in last six months unknown person(s) had thrown eggs at his home. Interview with complainant reveals it’s probably a result of a teenage dispute. Complainant did not wish to pursue matter and merely requested documentation.

OAK ST
Responded to the incident location for a report of unwanted phone calls. Upon arrival the complainant stated she has been getting numerous calls today from a solicitor with an area code in Birmingham Alabama. The undersigned assisted the homeowner with setting up her home phone to block calls from the solicitor. The complainant was satisfied with the resolution and is filing this report for informational purposes.

TERRY RD
Responded to the incident location for the report of a raccoon. Upon arrival the raccoon scurried off into the woods. The animal did not appear to be sick and he ran off.

NORWOOD AVE
Responded to the incident location for a report of a MVC on private property. The complainant reported one of his workers backed into his vehicle in his driveway. The complainant did not wish to file an MVC104a at this time and did not want insurance to be notified. The complainant did not want to provide information for the other vehicle and wanted this report for informational purposes only.
On 09/09/2018 Complainant recontacted to state he now wished to file an accident report. Filed as a leaving the scene as complainant knows the alleged second party only as “Jose” and has been unable to get any further information for him or vehicle. Complainant advised of same.
WOODBINE AVE
Responded to the above location for a report of a tree down on a car. Upon arrival the listed vehicle suffered damage to the rear of the vehicle when a large tree limb broke off from the tree along the curb in front of 275 Woodbine Ave.

FORT SALONGA RD
Responded to the above location for a report of a tree branch down in the road. Upon arrival there was a large branch blocking the west bound lane of traffic. Officers were able to move the branch to the side of the road.
MAIN ST
Responded to the incident location for a report of a syringe on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, the undersigned located and properly disposed of the syringe.
LAUREL AVE
The above resident repeatedly called Northport Police Department Headquarters to complain about construction noise outside of her house. The caller was informed numerous times that there was a road painting crew hired by Northport Village marking the road. The caller became more agitated each time she called, yelling profanities at the dispatcher. She further demanded that this activity be “shut down immediately” because she was a village resident. All attempts to explain the situation to her were ignored. No further police action possible.

Responded to the incident location for a report of the smell of gas. Northport Fire responded and determined the complainant accidentally left the gas stove on. Northport Fire determined there was no emergency.

CRESTFIELD PL
Responded to the above location for the report of a tan sedan circling the area with a male hispanic driver. Upon arrival the undersigned determined that the vehicle was gone and it was reported that he was the newspaper delivery person.
VALLEY RD
Responded to the above location to assist Suffolk Police with a domestic dispute. The undersigned remained on scene until sufficient SCPD units arrived.
