Northport Police Blotter: July 23-29

07/23
OCEAN AVENUE
Officer responded to location regarding a male hitchhiking and walking in the street. Officer did speak with the subject who stated he was walking to get his laundry and have lunch. The officer did transport the subject to Scudder/Woodbine Avenue without incident.

07/24
NAUTILUS AVENUE
Responded to above location for a loud party. Upon arrival, spoke with resident who stated a large number of uninvited people showed up. The officer remained in the area until the party broke up.

07/25
CONSTITUTION SQUARE
Responded to above location for a hit and run. Registered owner refused any reports as the damage was extremely minimal to the license plate bracket. Unable to obtain a plate from the offending vehicle.

WOODBINE AVENUE
Responded to above location for a reported male hallucinating, acting violent.

MAIN STREET
Caller contacted this agency to advise that she was having a dispute with her cab driver on the way to her psychologist. The officer spoke with the caller who stated that she thought the driver was threatening her. It was determined that the driver was talking to a friend on the phone and it had nothing to do with the caller. The situation was resolved. The officer determined that no crime occurred.

07/27
LOCUST LANE
Responded to SCPD location for assist with a suicidal male with a knife. The officer remained on scene until aided was transported by SCPD 216 to the Northport VA.

MILLAND DRIVE
Responded to the incident location for a report of a sick or intoxicated female who attempted to enter the complainant’s residence. Upon realizing she was at the wrong house, she walked away. The officer observed the subject on Fort Salonga Rd at Harbor Circle walking in the lane of traffic. Upon speaking with the subject, it was determined that the she was suffering from a drug overdose. Centerport Rescue responded and transported the aided to Huntington Hospital. The officer contacted the aided’s mother and advised her that her daughter is at Huntington Hospital.

07/28
STEERS AVENUE
Responded to the above location for a report of a suspicious red vehicle seen driving around the area. Upon arrival, the officer located the above vehicle and interviewed the driver who stated that he was teaching his daughter how to drive. No further police action necessary.

07/29
SCHOONER ROAD
Responded to the above area for a report of a suspicious male possibly intoxicated walking in the area. The officer spoke with the subject who did not appear to be intoxicated and stated he was in the area staying with a friend for the weekend and was just out for a walk.
