Northport Village Police report the following:

INCIDENTS:

10/29

GIUNTA’S SHOPPING CENTER, FORT SALONGA RD
Responded to the above location for two male subjects soliciting auto body work from people. Upon arrival the subject had left the area.

BELKNAP DR
Responded to the incident location for a report of a down wire. Upon arrival, the officer located the wire and was able to move it out of the roadway. Cable was notified.

SCUDDER AVE
Person reporting into Headquarters to report she hasn’t been paid her salary for the last 45 days by the listed employer. The person reporting states she also loaned the employer $500.00 and he hasn’t paid her back. The person reporting states she quit working for the employer last week. The officer advised the person reporting this is a civil matter and she should she want to pursue the matter, she should contact a lawyer and/or respond to Suffolk County small claims court.

SCUDDER AVE
Responded to the incident location for a report of a death threat made via telephone call.

WOODBINE AVE
Responded to the incident location for a report of a smell of smoke. Northport Fire responded and determined the smell was caused from the chimney. Negative fire emergency.

ACKERLY TERR
Responded to the above location for the report of a vehicle parked with no plates and a for sale sign on same. Upon arrival the officer located the vehicle and issued the appropriate summons. Headquarters contacted “Jason” and advised him that the vehicle needed to be registered to be parked on the street and the for sale sign removed. Subject stated he would move the vehicle.

5TH AVE
Responded to the incident location to a report of a loud party. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the listed person who reports that her son and some of his friends were sittingaround a fire pit in her backyard. Negative loud party discovered at this location.

EARL AVE
Responded to the incident location for a report of a carbon monoxide activation. Northport Fire responded and determined it was a negative activation.

CHURCH ST
Responded to the incident location for a report of a loose dog. Upon arrival, the officer located the dog and the owner responded on scene. The owner was warned and admonished.

BELLEROSE AVE
Responded to the incident location to assist the Suffolk Police Department locate a male lying in the road. The officer located the male who was being treated by a East Northport Fire Department First Responder. The officer remained on scene until sufficient units arrived.

MUNICIPAL LOT #9, UNION PL
Responded to the above location for a report of a vehicle parked for a few weeks with no license plates. A VIN # check was done and appropriate summonses were issued.

LORD JOES LNDG

Complainant reported an unknown activity on his credit card. Complainant states that he was notified by Capital One of an attempted transfer from his account to an unknown account. No monetary loss at this time. Complainant already in contact with his bank and credit companies reference this activity. Report held for informational purposes.

DAWN HILL ADULT HOME, LISA DR
Responded to the above location for a report of two male residence arguing. The officer interviewed the complainant who states the subject has been following him around and trying to antagonize a fight. The subject was advised to keep to himself to which he stated he would.

FORT SALONGA RD
Anonymous person responded to Headquarters to report low hanging wires. The officer responded to the area and did observe a low hanging wire. Headquarters advised of same and made appropriate notifications.

VILLAGE PARK, CONSTITUTION SQ
The officer while on patrol did observe a motorcycle parked in front of the pump out station gates. The officer did locate the registered owner near the vehicle. Owner warned and admonished regarding parking his motorcycle in the entrance way to the pump station.

MUNICIPAL LOT #1, CONSTITUTION SQ
Responded to the incident location for a report of property damage to the drivers door of the vehicle. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the above complainant who states her vehicle was parked in Municipal Lot #1 for most of the day. When she returned she found a small dent in her rear driver side door. Dent appears to be caused by a car door opening. Report held as property damage at this time.

ARTORO RESTAURANT & TEQUILLA, MAIN ST
Responded to the above location for a report of excessive noise. Upon arrival the area was quiet. The officers contacted the above caller and attempted to explain village noise ordinance but the caller was not satisfied with the explanation.
