Northport Student Honored in Art Competition

A Northport High School  student has won honorable mention in the 2018 Congressional Art Competition in New York’s  3rd Congressional District.

U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi, D-Huntington, announced the winners at the Art League of Long Island in Dix Hills. Student participants, their parents, teachers, and school administrators were all in attendance at the open event. Thirty-nine student s from sixteen schools across the district entered the competition.
Krystal Fabbricante was awarded an honorable mention for her digital photograph, “In the Garden.”  She described her work as “a picture of my sister taken during a beautiful fall afternoon at Caumsett State Historic Park. I have always enjoyed photographing dresses and capturing beautiful compositions with the fabric.”
Her work will be displayed in  Suozzi’s office in Washington, D.C.
