Northport High School will have two teams playing for state lacrosse championships Saturday and against the same school.
“This is an amazing accomplishment for both of our programs,” said Mark Dantuono, athletic director. “We are truly grateful for our determined and dedicated student athletes and coaches for their hard work as it wouldn’t be possible without them.”
The girls beat Suffern.12-7 Friday morning to go to 20-1 and will play Baldwinsville for the state title Saturday at 9 a.m. at SUNY Cortland.
The boys, who are also 20-1, beat Scarsdale earlier this week, 13-9, and will play Baldwinsville at Hofstra University at 12:30 p.m.
