Mercy Smith Elected to Northport Board of Trustees

Trustee Mercy Smith was elected to  the Northport Village Board of Trustees in a special election Tuesday.

She defeated Joseph Sabia, 413-206.

Mayor Damon McMullen had appointed her last May to fill the seat he vacated when he was elected mayor.

The Northport Village PBA applauded her election, writing on Facebook, “Northport Police PBA would like to congratulate Northport Village Trustee Mercy Smith on her victory in todays Village election over a write in candidate. She will be a great asset to Northport Village. Good luck and thank you for your dedication to the Village of Northport.”
