Northport Veteran Honored by NY Mets

The New York Mets recently highlighted the military career of Northport resident Scott Gibney during their Veteran of the Game series in a game with the New York Yankees.

Gibney served overseas in multiple deployments in the MIddle East. 

Gibney spent 30 years with the Navy, retiring as a captain. He and his wife, Susan, own a college admissions planning company, Gibney College Solutions LLC. They have three children.

The Mets recognize veterans at their home games.  A player presents the honoree with an American flag that flew over Citi Field and Citi Vision plays a segment showcasing the soldier’s achievements while serving in the military.
