Northport Village Police Blotter: June 4-11

Weekly report from the Northport Village Police Department.

June 4
Woodbine Avenue
A man requested assistance in gaining access to his locked 2002 Honda. The vehicle was
opened with a ìBig Easyî and there was no apparent damage.

Bayview Avenue

Responded  for a report of an erratic driver. The listed vehicle was gone upon arrival. The area
was canvassed yielding negative results.

Seaview Avenue

Responded for a report of an altercation with an unknown female driver. Upon arrival, the undersigned spoke with the complainant who stated that an unknown female driver yelled at her when she questioned the female driver about driving the wrong way on a one way road. The complainant gave an invalid plate.

Constitution Square

Responded tor a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the undersigned spoke with the
dock master who stated that the unknown male subject was in his 40s driving a 4-door blue sedan and returned multiple times to persistently ask her out. The unknown male subject was no longer on scene.

Seaview Terrace

The complainant responded to this department to report an illegal apartment and business operation. The complainant stated that the listed resident is operating a business out of the apartment at all hours of the day and night. The complainant also stated that there was an illegal basement apartment with a full kitchen. This report is being forwarded to Administrator Tim Brojer for follow up.

June 5

Reservoir Avenue

Responded to the above location for a report of an adult female having a panic attack. Northport Rescue responded and
transported the aided to Huntington Hospital.

June 8

Responded  for a report of wires across
the roadway. Upon arrival the area was checked and no wires
were located.

Burt Avenue

Responded to incident location for a report of a sick raccoon. Upon arrival the undersigned checked the area but couldn’t locate the raccoon. No further police action taken.

June 9

Burt Avenue

Responded for a sick raccoon in the backyard. Upon arrival the raccoon had scurried over the
fence. No further action taken.

 

June 9

Eatons Neck Road

Responded to the above location for a report of motor vehicle collision with a motorcycle. Upon arrival it was determined
the motorcycle had been placed on the ground by the driver because the driver in front of him had stopped suddenly. The
undersigned remained at the scene until Suffolk County Units arrived.

Markan Drive

Responded to a report of a male having a diabetic emergency. Upon arrival, while undersigned was
trying to obtain information on the above aided, he was extremely agitated and began spitting at undersigned. While trying to encourage the aided to drink the juice that was given to him by the resident he became very combative. The aided in an aggressive manner with his hands clenched in a fist ran towards the undersigned. Undersigned gave verbal commands to stop numerous times at the aided subject. Undersigned reacted by deploying the taser (CEW) at the subject and making contact with a positive response. However, the subject fell into a resident who subsequently was
injured when she fell, striking the floor. When the subject fell, one of the taser(CEW) probes dislodged from his body. While undersigned and assisting supervisor tried to control the subject he remained very combative by kick and flailing his arms towards undersigned and also at the resident who was injured on the floor and unable to move. Undersigned again deployed the taser (CEW) at the subject with a positive response. Undersigned and assisting supervisor were able to
get control of the subject. Asharoken Police unit A3 responded and assisted at the scene. Northport Rescue responded to the scene and administered glucose. Undersigned rode with Northport Rescue who transported the aided to Huntington Hospital.

 

June 11

Asharoken Avenue

Responded to the incident location at the request of Asharoken PD to assist with a male overdose. The undersigned remained on scene till Northport Rescue transported the aided to Huntington Hospital.
