A Second Precinct police officer helped a couple rescue their baby from a locked car during Saturday’s blizzard.
Police Officer James Garside responded to a call of a baby accidentally locked in a vehicle on New York Avenue in Huntington Station about 1:20 p.m.
He was able to use a lockout kit to open the door., where police said, he was greeted by a smiling 5-month old, who was unharmed.
