Oheka Castle Legacy Bricks on Sale Now for 100th Anniversary

Oheka Castle is  offering personalized and engraved legacy bricks for purchase in honor of the North Shore mansion’s 100th anniversary.

For $300 per brick, guests (past and present) can be honored permanently to commemorate their OHEKA moment or memory that future generations can admire.

Philanthropist and financer Otto Hermann Kahn built the  Gold Coast Mansion located on a 4443-acre plot of land on the highest point of Cold Spring Harbor for an estimated price of $11 million (that’s $158 million, today).

When it was completed in 1919, it was considered – and still marked today – as the second-largest private residence ever built in America. During the 1920s, Kahn would host elaborate Gatsby-styled parties at this summer home.

Since then, the mansion has changed hands several times and been a backdrop in movies, television shows, music videos and has hosted high-profile weddings. To celebrate its 100 years of activity, the mansion will be allowing OHEKA guests to mark their favorite OHEKA moment on a brick that will last forever.

Deadline for the $300 pre-sale purchase is March 31 and are expected to be installed during the end of this summer or beginning of fall.

Brick prices are set to increase after April 1 for patrons who miss out on this opportunity.
