Out and About: Huntington’s Elected Officials Turn Out for Events

Elected officials in Huntington are out and about nearly every day, helping businesses announce their openings, celebrating milestones with Scouts, firefighters and others.

Supervisor Ed Smyth, Councilmen Dave Bennardo and Sal Ferro, State Assemblyman Keith Brown, Tax Receiver Jillian Guthman, Town Clerk Andrew Raia and others were among those who turned up.

Among the events were:

The official grand opening of Réserve Restaurant at 326 W Jericho Turnpike, Huntington.

The groundbreaking of a memorial at Kew Avenue Park for the late State Supreme Court Justice Harry Richard Brown, father of Assemblyman Keith Brown, in East Northport.

A ribbon-cutting for the new Family Service League Family Center at 1264 New York Ave., Huntington Station.

The Chuck Varese Vehicle Extrication Tournament at Steers Pit in Northport.

The blessing of the fleet at Ketewomoke Yacht Club.
