The state Department of Transportation said that beginning Tuesday that between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. eastbound traffic on the Long Island Expressway will be detoured onto the South Service Road between Exits 48 (Round Swamp Road) and 51 (Deer Park Avenue).
The detour is to allow for pavement resurfacing.
It is expected to last about two weeks.
One eastbound lane is subject to closure between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
