Passenger Killed in Crash on Northern State

A Queens woman was killed Friday night when the car she was riding in crashed into a tree on the Northern State Parkway.

State Police said the accident occurred  west of Exit 42 in Huntington.

William Wade, 57, of Hempstead was driving west on the parkway when he missed a curve, police said, and the car hit a tree. The passenger, Tacorra Moss, 21, was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital but succumbed to her injuries. He was taken to Southside Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver was issued an appearance ticket for aggravated unlicensed operation 1st degree, an E-Felony, along with other traffic tickets, police said.
