A pedestrian with a serious head injury was airlifted to Stony Brook Medical Center Thursday afternoon.
The Huntington Community First Aid Squad transported the woman from Healy Street to a Suffolk Police helicopter at Maplewood Intermediary School.
The woman, who is 33, was struck by a car, police said.
Several Suffolk police officers were on the scene.
No further details were immediately available.
