A pedestrian was seriously injured Wednesday night when she was hit by a car on Shore Road in Cold Spring Harbor.
Suffolk County police said David Kasheta of Lloyd Harbor was driving north on Shore Road near Main Street when he struck the woman. She was taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment of series injuries. She was not identified, pending notification of relatives.
The crash occurred about 6:15 p.m. The driver was not injured.
