A Huntington Station man was seriously injured Friday night when he was hit by a town sanitation truck, Suffolk County police said.
Guillermo Ramirez, 61, was in the roadway at 11th Street and New York Avenue when the southbound truck struck him about 7:40 p.m., police said.
He was taken by Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
