Pet of the Week: Young Cat Dreams of Forever Home

Hoping to adopt a cat in need this winter?

Meet Oscar

The Oscars are not till Feb.24, but this Oscar is ready to win you over.

With his exotic good looks — he is part Turkish Van — he could be a movie star. But he is no divo: He gets along with his fellow felines. He is still a little shy around humans; however, he is making progress.

If he were to get an award, it might be Most Improved, not only because he is coming out of his shell, but also because, before he was taken in by the Golden Paw Society, and before he was at a shelter, he was starving. Now, though, he is neutered, vaccinated, house-trained, and, as you can see from this headshot, a healthy weight.

If you want to play a leading role in Oscar’s life, come try out at GPS’s Main Adoption Center. Or, take a shortcut to this shorthair’s happy ending by filling out an online application.
