A 7-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a hotel swimming pool in Melville, Suffolk County police said Thursday.
Katlyn Pineda was found unresponsive in a pool by a family member at the Marriott Melville Long Island hotel, located at 1350 Walt Whitman Road, at approximately 4:50 p.m.
The Bronx girl was taken first to Plainview Hospital in critical condition. She was then transported to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens.
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating the incident.
