Police are investigating the death of a man found lying on the ground at Whitman Village Friday in Huntington Station.
The man, 54, who lived near the apartment complex playground, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were quick to address the death as rumors began to swirl Friday afternoon about the cause of death, stoked by the hanging death of a man on Monday.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the man’s cause of death.
