Suffolk County Police reported they had cracked down on quality-of-life complaints Sunday night in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Precincts.
Community concerns revolved around excessive-noise complaints, traffic issues, and attempts to congregate in open areas. They included the Commack, Melville and Brentwood Park & Rides, Hauppauge and Heartland Industrial Parks and the Deer Park Train Station parking lots.
Police said they had thwarted numerous efforts to congregate and issued multiple traffic citations. A stolen quad was recovered and impounded, they said.
The Suffolk County Police Department said it would continue this enforcement throughout the summer.
