Democrats have scheduled several fundraisers for candidates running in the November election, including:
May 4, for Jason Richberg, minority leader in the Suffolk County Legislature. Under redistricting that will take effect in January, part of Melville will join the 15th District, which he represents. He is running against Republican Richard Felix, an attorney.
May 9, for Sidney Joyner, who is running against Legislator Manuel Esteban in the 16th District.
May 16, for Jen Hebert, running to fill one of two open seats on the Huntington Town Board.
Both Hebert and Dr. Eve Meltzer Krief, who is running for the 18th District against Legislator Stephanie Bontempi, received endorsements from Eleanor’s Legacy, which backs Democratic candidates in New York who are pro-choice.
Bontempi Fundraiser
Republican Stephanie Bontempi, running for re-election in the 18th District, has a fundraiser scheduled for May 23 at Del Vino Vineyards in Northport. Featured guest is Bernadette Castro, former state parks commissioner.
