More than 100 PSEG-LI volunteers turned out in Huntington Wednesday to clean up a garden, advise small businesses about energy efficiency and hand out LED bulbs.
Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci, town officials, Leadership Huntington and students from Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School participated in projects in observance of Earth Day and Arbor Day, visiting the cleanup at Gateway Gardens.
Jimmy Huie, a PSEG-LI lead analyst and a Northport resident, was among the volunteers. “If I can contribute, I contribute,” he said.
Steven Orman was part of a team that talked with small business owners along New York Avenue to discuss ways to improve energy efficiency through updated lighting and offering incentives to upgrade electric equipment.
