Public Hearing Set May 11 on Property Hit by Bullets

The Town Board will consider whether to designate a property as blighted at a public hearing on May 11.

The property at 50 Teed St., Huntington Station has been the subject of numerous complaints in recent months. In January, the two-family house was hit by more than 40 bullets from three guns in what Suffolk County police said was a drive-by shooting.

Neighbors have complained repeatedly to the town about trash, speeding cars, squatters, and many other issues at the house, which they say have put them in jeopardy.

The remote Town Board meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Huntington tax records list the property owners as John J. Murray and Carol Wisneski.
