RATT Singer Apologizes for Paramount Performance

A singer for the band RATT apologized Thursday for his performance the night before at the Paramount in Huntington.

Video of the performance showed Stephen Pearcy sitting and nearly lying down on the drum riser and slurring his lyrics during the show.

“I am dealing with a pain-management issue due to a bad knee that is scheduled to be replaced in January. And last night, I made the critical error of adding alcohol to my pain meds while on stage, and it destroyed my performance.

“I want to apologize to RATT fans for last night’s performance and especially to those that were at the show.

“Again, there is no excuse for my behavior.

“I sincerely apologize to RATT fans, my band, Live Nation, my friends, and family.”

Blabbermouth.net reported that during the show, RATT bassist Juan Croucier told the audience that Pearcy was in “a lot of pain” due to an “injured” knee, and said that he and his bandmates refused to cancel the show because they “love each and every one” of their fans.
