Joan Agnes O’Beirne (Feb. 27, 1932-April 21, 2020)
She was born in Brooklyn, and grew up in East Williston. She developed a love of the ocean from early summers spent at Patchogue Shores. Joan met her sweetheart, James, at a community pool and they were married in 1953 at St. Aidan’s Church. They were married for 59 years. Joan was a lifelong resident of Huntington, moving to Oyster Bay Manor Assisted Living in 2016. She was very active as a church member. She worshipped at St. Hugh of Lincoln, St. Patricks’ Holy Name of Jesus, and later St. Dominic’s. She began her career in New York City, working for Levitt and Sons. She was a homemaker for her children’s early years and then worked many years as a legal secretary for Ralph Gentile Esq., and the firm of Goodwin, Shultz & Goodwin in Huntington Village. Joan is predeceased by her husband James, brothers, Walter, Jr., Richard and her sister, Catherine. Joan leaves her children, James Jr., Joanne, Jeffry (wife Donna), Joseph (wife Karyn), and her cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Garrett, Monica, Paul and Joshua.

Of Huntington, at age 71. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably in the US Army, achieving the rank of sergeant, and will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery. He will be forever remembered by his wife of 47 years, Patricia and his children, Robert (predeceased) and Kathryn (Brian) Guggenheim. He will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren Jack, Emma and Lily, his brothers and sisters, Patricia (Curt) Meinel, Steven (Arlene), Pasquale Jr., Linda (Stephen) Nielsen and John (Denise), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. There will be a celebration of life sometime in the future. Memorial donations may be made to the A.L.S. Association.

Margaret Mary Pausel (Nov. 6, 1937-April 21, 2020)
82, of Huntington Station. She was a loving devoted wife of her late husband, Arnold L. Pausel, and beloved mother of Peggy (Coll), Lawrence, Laura (Treulich) and Matthew. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Daniel, Katherine, Jillian, Ethan, Amanda and Melissa, along with her 2 great-granddaughters Josephine and Luna.

Theresa (Terri) DeVaul (July 8, 1947-April 18, 2020)
She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Terri is predeceased by her parents, a brother, and husband, Paul DeVaul; and survived by her children: Dawn, (Kevin Crowley), Jennifer (Frank Lapovicy), Wendy (Al Naborre), Theresa (David Christie), Paul (Sandee) and Robin, in addition to her 15 grandchildren and six siblings.
Michael ‘Benny’ Benevento Jr. (April 19, 2020)
Zdzislaw Ozimkowski (May 23, 1933 – April 20, 2020)
Born in Lublin, Poland, he eventually immigrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn in the late 1950’s and married Helena Suchecki. Moving to Bethpage in 1969, he and Helena raised their family on Long Island where he worked for Alarm Device Manufacturing Corp. (ADEMCO) in Syosset and later for C.U.N.Y-Queens College. He is survived by his sons Lester Edward Ozimkowski and Edward George Ozimkowski, daughter-in-law Kathleen Mallen-Ozimkowski and grandchildren Ryan Mallen Ozimkowski, Trevor Joseph Ozimkowski and Rose Helena Ozimkowski. After the death of his wife, in April 2008, he moved to Main Street, Northport. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Helping Hand Rescue Mission in Huntington Station.
