Dogs at the Huntington Animal Shelter are available for adoption Saturday at reduced fees, the town announced Friday.
Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci said the “Clear The Shelters” Day fee will $8.50 on Saturday, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.,
“The Huntington Animal Shelter has a great adoption rate and a great staff who make sure that all the dogs we adopt are ready and suitable for their forever homes – and that all adopting families are suitable for our dogs,” Lupinacci said. “Our shelter is fortunate enough not to deal with overcrowding issues, like many other municipal shelters do, our staff exercise our dogs and encourage playtime with our other dogs to ensure they are well-socialized.”

The Town of Huntington Animal Shelter is located at 106 Deposit Road in East Northport. Shelter hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.
