Religious Gatherings Can Restart Thursday

Religious services with a limited number of participants can resume as of Thursday, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced Wednesday.

Up to 10 people can participate in services with social distancing rules in places and participants wear masks.

Additionally, drive-in and parking lot services will be allowed beginning Thursday.

The state is convening an Interfaith Advisory Council to discuss proposals to safely bring back religious services.

Cuomo also announced that residents can vote in a contest to choose the best video to promote the wear of masks to stop the spread of the Covid-19.  The contest is open until May 25.
