Report: Northport Justice Temporarily Suspended

Northport Village Justice Paul H. Senzer has been temporarily suspected by the state’s highest court while it considers his permanent removal from the bench, Newsday reported Tuesday.

Earlier this month, the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct recommended that he be removed for “sexist, profane and otherwise degrading language” in emails with clients in his private practice. Those emails involved work he’d performed for clients in Family Court, Newsday said.

The village court has preliminary jurisdiction over felonies and general trial jurisdiction over misdemeanors, traffic infractions and local ordinance violations.
