Robotics Competition Set for Half Hollow Hills

Dozens of students from 18 schools will be participating in the eighth annual Half Hollow Hills robotics competition Saturday.

The FIRST (for Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition, is the final event of the 2019 FIRST Long Island season in a tournament-style competition.

The competition will operate under the rules and guidelines of the 2019 FIRST Robotics Competition challenge, dubbed DESTINATION: DEEP SPACESM Presented by The Boeing Company. 

Residents, teachers, administrators and business leaders from the surrounding areas are invited to attend and discover first-hand the benefits that FIRST Robotics programs provide to students.

The competition runs from 9 am-5 pm at Half Hollow Hills West.
