Run to Save Lives, Healthy Kids Series Coming Up

The third annual 5k Run to Save Lives is scheduled April 19 to support organ and tissue donation.

 All proceeds will go to LiveOnNY, Be the Match and Team Liberty. To register for the run, at Oldfield Middle School, click here.

The race, sponsored by the Town of Huntington, will start at 8:30 am.
 

Meantime, the five-week Healthy Kids Running Series  for kids from pre-k to 8th grade gets underway March 29. 

The series offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the one mile run. Kids compete each week for a chance to earn points. At the end of the series the boys and girls who accumulate the most points in their respective distances are awarded trophies. All participants receive a medal in the fifth week.

The registration fee covers the entire five weeks of the series and is non-refundable. The series will be held at Silas Wood 6th Grade Center.
