Sabatino Named to All-South Region Team

Washington College senior midfielder Arianna Sabatino, a graduate of Half Hollow Hills West, has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-South Region first team. The Scholar All-Region teams recognize the student-athletes with high levels of both academic and athletic accomplishment.

This is the latest in a long line of postseason honors for Sabatino this season. She became the first student-athlete in her team’s history to earn All-Region honors, landing on the third team. She was also the first from her team to be named the Centennial Conference Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the first to earn All-Centennial Conference honors three times (she was named to the second team this season), and the first to be named Academic All-Centennial three times.

Sabatino led the Shorewomen with seven goals this season. She also tied for the team lead in shots with 38. She added three assists and was second on the team in total points with 17. She carries a 3.95 grade-point average and is majoring in Biology.

Sabatino, who helped lead the Shorewomen to their first-ever winning record this season at 8-6-1, finished her career as the Shorewomen’s all-time co-leader in career goals with 20 and second in team history in career total points with 48.
