Sanin, Hebert, Schramm Take Leads in Primary Voting

Democrat Rebecca Sanin took 93 percent of the Working Families Party primary vote for Huntington town supervisor in unofficial returns Tuesday night.

Sanin easily topped Marissa Anderson, who claimed about 4 percent of the vote. Anderson works in the law firm of Ed Smyth, who is the Republican candidate for town supervisor.

In the Democratic primary for two Town Council spots, Jen Hebert held a big lead with 44 percent of the vote; Joe Schramm had 29 percent and Hunter Gross took 26 percent. In Working Families, Hebert had 49 percent, while Robert Smitelli had 9 percent and Michael Oddo had 3 percent.

The unofficial totals don’t include absentee returns.
