Santa Makes Stops in Asharoken, Dix Hills

Santa Claus was busy even before he took off to deliver presents on Christmas Eve.
Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived for a visit at Asharoken Village Hall, where he spread holiday greetings and hearty “Ho, Ho, Ho’s” to all.  Santa was greeted by Asharoken Mayor Greg Letica and Village Trustees as he arrived on his sleigh from the North Pole with the assistance of the Northport Fire Department.  Santa was warmly welcomed by Village officials, police, residents, and lots of happy wide-eyed children. Santa and his helpers distributed plenty of cookies, oranges and candy-filled canes. Visitors were also treated to a performance by the a capella group Valence, which sang popular music and holiday carols.
Santa also arrived in Dix Hills from the North Pole earlier  this week when his sleigh landed at the Dix Hills Fire Department. Fire engines and ambulances  escorted Santa on his journey through the streets to spread holiday greetings and candy treats to the kids. Santa and his helpers from the Dix Hills FD Company One are pictured at Station 2  preparing for his journey. Other Dix Hills neighborhoods were visited by Headquarters Company 2 and Station One Company 3.
